Interesting siite!
You've told us what "others" think and believe, but not about what "you" have been persuaded to believe.
Something very unusual occured 2,000 years ago, when Jesus was crucified, dead and buried. He arose again, was seen by many, and that began a new phase in the thinking and belief of the people in those days. I'm sure that you know all this.
What's interesting to me is that prophecies of His coming where made no less than 500 years before He came; and some much further out beyond 1,400 years!
Our "destinies" are tied to Him!

I think religion grows out of spirituality.Religion is a cultural expression of spirituality.
If your religion keeps you strong and gives you a route to spirituality that's a good thing.
Just remember though, not everyone can or will share your culture, but everyone is capable of spirituality.
